While studying the book of Ephesians in our Life Group this year I pulled the Bible I used in those days and the notes are extensive. Listed are side notes and dates taken along with the speakers name. It is actually refreshing, actually exciting to recall the times and places where those notes were taken.
Here it is: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.” It is more common these days to study, to read the Bible using digital devices. Computers and smart phones make it quick and easy to read and find passages, but it is difficult to make notes, to document what we are learning. Make a decision about how you want to study the Bible and remember what you have learned. Taking notes is one way.
