God leads, we follow, He blesses As I draft this BLOG our world is full of challenges on many fronts. It is refreshing to know the hope that is in the life and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Sharon and I are blessed with dear friends and supporters, supporters that facilitate our ongoing ministry. We are blessed beyond measure; may God be praised and pleased. One day we want to hear, "well done, thou good and faithful servant!". Today I write to friends remembering a wedding anniversary and another responding to fresh water systems we provide to our global ministry partners. More on that at another time. Today I reflect on a Kealy Quotes from February 2001. Prayer for India trip was the heading. Here goes; “Prayer is in order for safety of travel and health while traveling in the India subcontinent. David will participate in a conference for 400 pastors. His emphasis will be the use of radio as a tool to help build the church. Only 54 of the pastors have formal Bible training due to the rapid grower of the church in recent years as the Dalits people embrace the claims of the Gospel of our Savior, Jesus Christ”. Amnesty International reports, “the State of Nepal falls short to protect Dalits; Inadequate and insufficient measures to address systemic cast-based discrimination and a culture of impunity, Dalit women and girls are at risk”. I found this to be the case in 2001 when assigned to represent international radio at a convocation to be held in New Delhi. As many as one million Dalits had been invited to meet to hear about other faiths so they could choose another faith based system other than the traditional Hindu belief. As hundreds of thousands of people traveled by the common transportation, trains, the government blocked travel at train stations preventing travelers on the outskirts of New Deli whose intent was to join the gathering. There were not a million, but I witnessed more people in one place at one time that I will never experience again in my lifetime. The timing of the conference in North East India state of Manipur, setting a temporary radio station we broadcast their conference of 400 pastors to the community. Fresh water is a method to reach the Dalits in Nepal A ministry partner of ours in Nepal is helping a church in a Dalit community near their outreach at the Bethany House Bible Training Center. They are in drastic need of a fresh water system. Details are being developed including the design and budgeting for this important support of the Dalit population. To quote Pastor Matt Hannan, “when love is felt, the message is heard!” Jesus taught and He healed. The preaching and teaching and living out of the word of God is the focus of the ministries yet they always find in remote areas poor health resulting from inadequate fresh water. The provision of fresh water is the healing that takes place. May Jesus be praised with this two-fold outreach model being used.
