Rejoice, pray and give thanks!
This is the outline God prompted me to draft to present to the Staff of the FAMILY LIFE CENTER in Nepal in October. If you follow these monthly BLOGS you will know about the Nepal trip. The outline has been shared with the leader of the FAMILY LIFE CENTER to present in my absence.
My passport with the Nepal VISA inserted was lost by the Nepal Embassy in Washington D.C. Embassy. Or it was lost at the USPS because the outgoing mails that day from the Embassy were not processed by the USPS. Our tracking number was never scanned by the USPS. It is, “not in the system”.

So for today here is the outline of the encouragement for the staff. The staff that is discouraged because of the cancellation of my visit with them. They have prayed fervently for my being able to travel, yet God has other plans and it is actually exciting to wait on the LORD to see how He will lead forward in the days to come. He has great things in store.

Q One of questions the Kealys hear the most often is, “where are you going next?”
A As our ministry following God’s leading has led us to numerous countries the perception is that we continue that process. Well, we do but it is based upon helping partner ministries we have met and worked with over the years using ZOOM, WhatsApp, messages, and the internet of things. Cost effective for us and this allows us to send money for their use.
The answer is, for the amount of money it would take to travel to be with and help our partners they could use the money to greater benefit; and they do.

A Based upon need, it varies. It could be putting in a new well and or water delivery system, train students at Bible schools, help build village churches, or help feed pastor families who need money to buy food during the COVID pandemic. More specifically it includes consultation, project planning, budgeting, and architectural design.

If you can come, we would like to use your engineering skills to develop our land and design landscape and also help us design our future campus for conference hall, training classroom, kitchen and dining, guest rooms, students dorms and special cabins. The location is in a mountain resort area and we are praying that God will provide the resources.

Fish Hoek is a city near Cape Town
Pastor John Thomas introduced David to his congregation as the man God used for radio in South Africa. The vision of this partner is providing a soup kitchen for the homeless and with a radio station reaching into Masiphumelele, an urbanized township (we would say squatters camp) in Fish Hoek, South Africa, which 20,000 inhabitants call home.
HCJB World Radio’s presidents letter in June 2002 shares the meeting of David and Pastor John Thomas of South Africa.
In 1992 two strangers “just happened” to get on a hotel elevator in Florida. One was a pastor desperate to find radio equipment to establish the first private FM station in South Africa before his temporary permit expired. The other one was a missionary from HCJB World Radio who pioneered “radio planting” in Eastern Europe. Within two weeks, Pastor John Thomas was back home in South Africa with all the equipment he needed to put the new station on the air. And David Kealy, the HCJB World Radio missionary, was delighted about this divinely choreographed encounter and pleased to have been able to help.
Little did we realize that a chance meeting in a Florida elevator would eventually open doors to a whole network of stations (RAN) reaching multiple unreached people groups halfway around the world.
During the evening service at Fish Hoek Baptist Church near Cape Town, South Africa, Sunday February 24, 2002, two men entered the rear of the church and took a seat. Pastor John Thomas recognized one of them as being a notorious outlaw who had been featured on recent television news programs. Mogamat Benjamin had been convicted of multiple murders, but is now released on parole. He came to the church with his friend who he had met in prison, Allan Rehbock, because he had been listening to the first live broadcast of the service that aired the churches radio station, Cape Community FM. He was listening and was touched by the sermon about the woman at the well. btw this is the very first private FM community radio station in South Africa.
When David asked what touched him, he said “if God could forgive her, He could forgive anyone, even me!” John then led him to faith in Jesus Christ.

a look back to 1993 and 2002
We are in a position to provide a one-time benefit to pastors because one of our donors heard a word from the LORD to, "convert some money to cash. Do it and wait for me to tell you what to do with it."
He did it and waited until the instruction that he knew would follow. He called me when he got the word and told me he needed to see me. I spent the day this week making the trip to meet him.
He pushed an envelope with cash across the table for us to help pastors. PERIOD. It is NOT for fresh water wells that he funds monthly with contributions.

Money is being sent to our partner ministries now to help pastors; pastors who lead small churches that are not able to pay them. They are out of work because the places where they work to support their families are closed due to the COVID pandemic.
This gift gave us an opportunity to reconnect with a dear friend, Rev. John Thomas in South Africa. He responded as follows:

Communicate with God . . . a privilege
This year our pastor focuses messages on the Biblical emphasis about Prayer.
When I consider prayer, the first verse that comes to mind is James 5:16 b. All of the verses that I memorized as a boy were from the King James translation of the Bible. "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Or as stated in The Message translation, this verse reads, "The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with."
So, it sounds like a good idea to live right with God. I certainly think so.
"Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7
Prayer is not only about us but how we interact with others. We are encouraged to pray for others.
"First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made in behalf of all people," 1 Timothy 2:1
Then of course a song sung in bygone days, SWEET HOUR of PRAYER

A request is on the table for me to travel to Nepal this Fall to encourage the
staff as they develop a ministry center in Burtibang, Nepal, a growing area that
will soon include a million people. A good place to pro-vide a witness.
Two ministries in Nepal are blessed with your gifts. Fresh water systems, disaster relief, radio program development and distribution for local FM and international short-wave broadcasting, training programs and much more.
I am asking you to pray with me about the invitation to travel this Fall of 2021 as the coronavirus slowly winds down and the staff is gathering in Burtibang, Nepal to expand their ministry. Property is obtained and the request is for some design planning for a conference center and training facility. Following is some information about the request. As I shared this opportunity with a friend she said it sounds like a legacy thing. I guess I must in all humbleness agree. Thanks ahead for prayers as we seek the LORD's will in this. Financing our involvement is a big part of our trusting God as we seek to follow His leading these days.

Goals and Pace
Here it is already approaching mid year 2021. People who know me they know I enjoy walking. I enjoy walking in every country where we have lived. And I enjoy the training and preparation of competing in organized race walking events. Getting fourth place in a half-marathon in my age group was not rewarding at all. Then a few years later getting third place in the next older age group was a bit better. Still not my goal. So getting a devotional from pastor, missionary friend Bud McCord, really resounded for me. You can read his devotionals on this website DAILY LIVING / Abide International. To make it easy for you, here is the GOALS AND PACE devotional. Take it to heart, I will.
"Imagine you decide to walk an entire day with another person. They have agreed that you can accompany them as long as you truly want to do what they do and you understand that they have a busy agenda and a determined pace. You accept the conditions and off you go toward their goals and at their pace.
At first it is easy, but as the day progresses you find that you are being continuously invited to leave the person with whom you are walking and satisfy some other need the way you normally would. Eventually you discover that walking with another person who has a very specific agenda and pace in mind means you must continually submit to their goals and pace or walking with them just will not work.
This is how Jesus walked with His Father. When Jesus said he always did what pleased His father He was describing what it means to walk in the Spirit. God’s goals were His goals and God’s pace was His pace at all times.
We either walk in the Spirit or we walk in the flesh. We either conform to God’s goals and pace in Christ through the Spirit or we conform to the old goals and pace of our flesh.
Over time it has become abundantly clear to me when I am in the Spirit and when I am in the flesh. The fruit just does not lie. The goals and the pace of Spirit are clear. The goals and pace of flesh are clear.
As the day moves along and the temptation comes back to fulfill your own desires first, just whisper the words “Jesus, I am entirely yours” and walk where the Spirit is leading at Jesus' perfect pace for you.
Today we can make the goal and the pace of Jesus our goal and our pace. When we do this the fruit is true Spiritual Life. To be spiritual is to let the Spirit set your goal and your pace to those of Jesus moment by moment. What wonderful goals and what a wonderful pace await all those who walk in the Spirit."

Pastor Matt Hannan told us to make notes in our Bible as we study. Yes, it is the Word of God, but it is a book for our study too and make notes to reflect, to recall passages we have studied.
While studying the book of Ephesians in our Life Group this year I pulled the Bible I used in those days and the notes are extensive. Listed are side notes and dates taken along with the speakers name. It is actually refreshing, actually exciting to recall the times and places where those notes were taken.
In October 1988 I have a note from Pastor Bud McCord in reference to Ephesians 1:18-19a that, “we are God’s TRUST FUND!” I like that still.
Here it is: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.”
It is more common these days to study, to read the Bible using digital devices. Computers and smart phones make it quick and easy to read and find passages, but it is difficult to make notes, to document what we are learning. Make a decision about how you want to study the Bible and remember what you have learned. Taking notes is one way.

Music historically is significant to mankind; more significantly songs are important as documented in the annals of time. Moses, the great leader of the Israelites at the age of 120 years faced leadership changes and penned a song that was given to him from God.
“Now write down this song and teach it to the Israelites and have them sing it, so that it may be a witness for me against them.”

At a young age my precious grandmother Archer shared with me her favorite hymn; “Under His Wings”. I don’t recall the nature of the conversation when this came up, but it just might have been a time she noticed my discomfort.
Written by William Cushing and sang by Ira D. Sankey (1840-1908) at the D.L.Moody Revival meetings in the US and Europe in the late 1800’s it is a comforting song. Perhaps it is a song for the times we live in today.

Information about charitable giving
In 2015 a qualified charitable distribution became a permanent part of the Internal Revenue Code. It makes a provision for an IRA owner over the age of 70 1/2 to transfer up to $100,000 in any calendar year to charity. The transferred amounts are not included in the gross income in that year for the IRA owner. It’s THANKSGIVING time again and we are thankful for God leading us to do some significant planting. We are fully aware that some plant, some water and some reap. We continue to support those who water and reap following the teaching, planning and training that we continue to plant.
That Blessing is seeing God fashioning the seeds we planted grow into lives changed for eternity. We enjoy reading reports where we followed God’s leading. Yes, He is Blessing. We reflect and share with you reports of our being planters and God is making the seeds grow.
INDIA
Praise God that radio is taking the gospel to some of the neediest and most remote people in South Asia.
Response from a man, Pradeep in India. “I have been so sad since I lost my Job, as there is no income to take care of my family. On my mobile phone, I received the word of God from you through WhatsApp. I wasn’t going to play it, as I was so vexed and was murmuring against God.
My son took my phone to play games, and he unintentionally pressed the button in the notification center. It played your message, and that message was just for me. It said, ‘don’t give up. God is on your side.’ It was like an angel of the Lord coming home and speaking to me. I am now regularly listening to the word of God.”

Praise God that a second online class is underway in Indonesia with 22 enthusiastic students. Pray that they would learn a lot and their ministry would be enlarged by what they learn.
Our online course for Indonesian radio announcers went so well the first time out that the course continues with students from several other Christian stations around the country.

We were honored to receive a visit from the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Grace Batubara regarding the Submitting Ministry of Social Assistance in the form of Food Packages for the prevention of Covid-19. This event was attended by the wife of the governor of Bali, as well as the wife of the Mayor of Denpasar. During the visit, Mercy Indonesia was trusted to distribute 1,000 relief packages to people affected by the Pandemic. Some of these packages went to the Orphanage in Atambua where we placed a fresh water well.

"I wanted to say that you have great radio programs. I've been listening to you for two months. Surprisingly, your radio gives power. May the Lord protect you. I came to Christ in 2017. I am the only believer in my family. I have suffered a lot because of my faith in Christ. I was fired several times after co-workers learned that I’m a believer.
They even tried to kick me out when I was studying at the institute. It was painful. But the worst part was that we were caught by the national security service, while we were studying the Bible. The case did not come to court, but we were forced to pay a large fine, which I could not afford. They are still trying to persuade me to give up this belief. But I will not do this. I already enjoy suffering for Christ.”
