Information about charitable giving

In 2015 a qualified charitable distribution became a permanent part of the Internal Revenue Code. It makes a provision for an IRA owner over the age of 70 1/2 to transfer up to $100,000 in any calendar year to charity. The transferred amounts are not included in the gross income in that year for the IRA owner. Income taxes are not owed on the amount, even though the distribution may be used to satisfy the required minimum distribution, RMD.
See your tax advisor for more information about this type of giving.
Cost effective giving is enabled by Reaching People far from God by using bank transfers (ACH) rather than credit card processing.
