Friendships
Our friend Thomas Fulghum requested my architectural design skills on a number of occasions starting in 1988 while we were serving in Quito, Ecuador, South America. Designing a guest house and connecting it to an existing house was a fun experience working with new coworkers at HCJB World Radio. Another assignment was designing a complete remodel of their conference center on the main campus.

While living in Ecuador we met Dwight Lind and have remained friends over the years. He later returned to the U.S. serving with the Inspiracom radio stations along the US/Mexican border.

When one of the stations was looking for a building to purchase and remodel for the radio station KWRB 90.9 in Sierra Vista, AZ, I got a call from Thomas Fulghum who served on the board and checked to see if I could help. The answer was yes and they purchased a two story former real estate building and it worked great for the new station location. Fast forward some 5 or 6 years and in the Fall of 2022 Sharon and I spent two special days with Dwight and Susie Lind and visited the station. While there I was asked if I wanted to see the equipment closet. Of course, I wanted to see every space. The volunteer engineer, John Whalen picked up a drawing he new was in there and sure enough it was my drawing of the ground floor with the studios and offices.
Friends from the late 1980's connected in Sierra Vista Arizona many years later and enjoyed yet another project to share the name of Jesus via local radio . . . . . . . to God be the glory.
